Why Choose Sparrow?
Quality of Products
We believe a lasting project starts with the highest quality products our clients can afford. We endorse the products we carry for quality of materials, manufacturer customer service, and quality of warranty. Warranties tell us a lot about how much confidence a brand has in its own product.
Quality of Care
We listen to our customers needs and desires.
We couple that with our expertise in the industry, we provide the best recommendations for the job, and follow through with careful execution.
Quality of Work
We measure twice, cut once.
We work hard to make sure that the end result is both beauty and function.
And when something's not right - we make it right!
Quality Matters
You'll notice our theme is "Quality".
It matters that much to us. Our goal is your satisfaction with a lasting product and/or project that won't require a call back for repair or replacement, for many years to come!
Our Mission...
Provide Better
We tend to go against the grain of the oft-asked question, "what's the cheapest option?" We make it our mission to provide better options that are usually not the cheapest up front, but the longer-lasting ones. This saves our clients money over time.
Work Better
We're sticklers for getting it done right. Our goal is to work ourselves out of a job...so good you won't need to call us for something that needs fixed or is falling apart.
Make it Beautiful
"Nice enough" is not a statement we like. Beauty truly does matter - it's in our nature to treat things differently - better- when they're of good quality and beautiful.
Repeat
We can't do it all, but we know everything we put our hands and hearts too, makes a difference in someone's life - we're here for that!

Our Story
In 1989, a young couple with 3 sons started a humble business, doing mobile glass replacements of all kinds. They named this business after husband and father, Steve’s Glass.
As this family grew, their business grew alongside it, seeing all sorts of shifts and changes between economic climate, and adding new opportunities within the glass industry, to establishing themselves at the humble building that sits on North Main Street in Colfax. For 32 years, this family offered glass, windows, doors, and showers; and they worked other various light construction jobs both within their business and in their spare time!
Fast-forward to 2022 - with fully-grown kids who had families and dreams of their own, Steve and his beloved wife, Sandy, set out to retire. It would be another family - also with three sons - who took their place to keep this much needed community-business going.
While no immediate family member was named Steve, it operated as such for a while as locals got used to the transition. Steve’s Glass soon rebranded as Sparrow Glass Windows & Doors - “Sparrow” nodding to a biblical reference - and is now becoming more commonly known as Sparrow Glass and Contractors.
Who are we now?
Jennifer, wife to Michael, started her career with earning a degree in Business, focused on real estate and law; but what gave her great joy in her career was in the Real Estate Development and Construction world: she loved bringing her creativity from concept and design, to beautiful, functional and practical buildings that people lived and worked in. As she and Mike began their family, she shifted her role into consulting and land use planning as a stay at home mother; then she hung up her hard hat and folded away her drafting table completely to focus on her family for the next decade.
As their boys grew and seasons changed, Mike and Jen saw an opportunity in Steve’s Glass: Steve and Sandy had laid a pathway for resurrecting Jen’s passion for architecture and design, construction, and ‘Building Beauty from Possibility’. It was an opportunity for them to fill a current need within the community by keeping a needed business running, while also expanding on other needs and desires for the area in providing quality contracting and building services.
